iJam Music School features local instructors and professional musicians who provide individual instruction, mentoring and band coaching for all instruments, including wind, brass, string instruments, piano and percussion. We also feature private instruction and band coaching for bands (of many musical genres) featuring such instruments as lead and rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards and vocals. Our school encourages students to participate in scheduled recitals/concerts to demonstrate progress and to promote performance skills and personal development.

Commitment
iJam Music School is committed to building and promoting a community of musicians based on a mutual passion for the performance and enjoyment of music. Our goal is to promote pro-social friendships and strong interpersonal skills, to build self-esteem and instill a sense of accomplishment and hope in the future for all student musicians. We provide an opportunity for local musicians and instructors to inspire a new generation of musicians. We are committed to offering our music training to all segments of our local population, with a special emphasis on reaching out to under-served youth.

Responsibility
The focus of iJam Music School is to empower students in establishing goals and following through on commitments. Each musician is responsible for setting learning goals. Each student is strongly encouraged to participate in performance opportunities provided by the school at appropriate local venues.

Possibility
iJam Music School wants to expand the perspective of young people to make them aware of life's possibilities and the power of working together with friends toward a common goal. Opportunites are provided for all students to create music together with their peers and participation in performances and other enrichment programs is strongly encouraged.

Support
An individual is dramatically influenced by their support systems. iJam Music School surrounds young people with caring, inclusive, respectful instructors. Through our emphasis of teaching band performance, students learn to support each other in a co-creative process. Scheduled performances expose them to a full expression of support from their families, friends and community.
